At Insight CPA, one of the things that makes us unique is maintaining a low client-to-CPA ratio so we can provide every client with hands-on, attentive service.
As we continue to grow and bring that level of service to more home services businesses, we've spent a lot of time thinking about how to grow without sacrificing what makes our firm different.
We believe two things will allow us to reach more clients while maintaining an exceptionally high standard of service: better systems and exceptional people.
Building Systems That Scale
Every client relationship has been an opportunity to expand our knowledge about accounting for the Home Services industry.
We've learned what useful financial reporting looks like, how to build processes that actually work, where things commonly go wrong, and what information owners and leadership teams need to make better decisions.
Our goal is to make sure those lessons don't live exclusively in the heads of a few people.
We're continually turning what we've learned into repeatable systems, processes, technology, and standards that our entire team can follow. That allows us to consistently deliver the quality of work our clients expect while also supporting more businesses.
Great Systems Require Great People
Systems alone aren't enough.
Accounting is ultimately a people business. Our clients need people they can trust with highly personal information. They need people who understand the numbers, have deep technical expertise, recognize when something doesn't look right, and can help business owners make smarter decisions.
That's why the second part of how we approach growth is being intentional about who we bring onto our team.
We want to hire exceptional accounting professionals and maintain a low client-to-CPA ratio so that as Insight CPA grows, our clients continue to receive the expertise and attention they deserve.
And that brings us to our newest hire...
Welcome Dawn Nolan, CPA!
We’re incredibly excited to welcome Dawn Nolan, CPA, as Insight CPA’s Director of Accounting.

Dawn brings a decade of accounting and finance experience spanning public accounting, controllership, manufacturing, and operational finance. Most recently, she served as Assistant Controller for a $100M+ manufacturing company. What makes Dawn such an exciting addition to our team is that she brings more than technical accounting expertise: she understands what it means to work inside a growing business.
Throughout her career, Dawn has led accounting teams, strengthened financial processes and controls, improved reporting, and worked alongside business leaders to turn financial information into action.
As our Director of Accounting, Dawn will help lead our accountants and work closely with our clients as we continue building Insight CPA.
For us, hiring Dawn represents exactly the kind of growth we're trying to create: taking everything we've learned, combining it with exceptional people, and bringing it to more businesses without sacrificing the standard that got us here.
We couldn’t be more excited to have her on the team and for our clients to have another experienced CPA and financial leader in their corner.
